Healing, Self Discovery, and Growth
My passion for mental health counseling grew from my firsthand experience in crisis intervention, working with diverse communities through a Mobile Crisis Outreach Team at Texas’s largest mental health agency.
I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to your unique needs—emotionally, mentally, and physically. My approach integrates different therapeutic techniques, ensuring you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your healing journey. Education is a key part of my work, so you’ll always understand the “why” behind our strategies and feel in control of your progress.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a Police Dispatcher, where I saw the toll high-stress jobs take on first responders and their families. This experience deepened my commitment to supporting those navigating intense professional and personal challenges. I also love working with adolescents, using play therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques to help them express themselves and build resilience.
I hold a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland College Park and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), always grounding my work in evidence-based practices. I’m currently under the clinical supervision of Janelle Robinette-Long, LPC-S.
If you’re looking for a compassionate, down-to-earth therapist who will meet you where you are, I’d love to connect.
